What you place on the altar…

What you place on the altar Reader... begins to change you.

I was reminded of this so deeply at the Equinox gathering last weekend...
a beautiful coming together to celebrate the return of spring with a circle of mesa carriers.

There is something that happens when we gather this way.

Something opens.
Something softens.
We remember.
We have fun.

The mesa is a personal healing altar —
one that is created and grown through the Medicine Wheel journey.

The mesa, your altar, becomes a place to meet yourself.
To ground.
To listen.
To launch.
To remember your own sacred potential

And listening to the women speak about their mesas…
it always moves and inspires me.

Here are a few of their words:

She takes care of me more than I take care of her… she is my stability.`
My mesa is my remembering… remembering self.
My mesa is my teacher and an invitation to come back home.
My mesa is growth… an extension of my healing…
My mesa is my teacher… a foundation… a launch pad… a mirror.

If you don’t yet have a mesa…I have...

A simple invitation for you.., a SACRED TIP:

Create a small altar.

A place with a few objects from nature… stones… something meaningful or sacred to you.

Or enliven an altar you have by adding flowers, a plant, a bowl of water. Light a candle.

Sit. Be with this altar. Even for a few moments.

Because this is what I know to be true:

What you place on the altar… is altered.

And now I am writing to you Reader from Peru -
with Munay (love) from the lands where these teachings were born.

I LOVE it here.

And I am so excited to be here again.

In the morning my group arrives and we begin our pilgrimage through the Sacred Valley and up to Lake Titicaca.

I love sharing the beauty of these lands, the people, and the practices as we explore, enjoy, learn, laugh, eat yummy foods, and connect to Pachamama.

We will carry our Mesas.
Sit in ceremony.
Make offerings to the Earth.
Celebrate the sacred with joy and laughter.
Drink deeply from the wisdom of these lands and the Q'ero lineage.
(my dear friends and shaman, who take their work seriously, and always share the JOY!)

And already… I can feel what wants to continue.

At the end of April, I will begin the next round of the Medicine Wheel, taking all this inspiration forward.

A new circle.
A new turning.

And being here in Peru… inspired me to make a special offer to you.

🎁 Peru Bonus (through April 5)
If you feel called to say yes — and place your deposit
(for this round or September)

I will personally bring you back a
handwoven mesa cloth and tie from Peru

Something to begin your mesa.
Or to deepen the one you already have.

If you’ve been feeling the call…

To create your own mesa
To deepen your altar practice
To walk your path in a more grounded, supported, intentional way
To capture the momentum of the Fire Horse

This is a beautiful moment to step in.

Begin in May or September —
and let this be the start of something you truly tend.

With love from Peru ~

P.S. If something in you has been quietly saying “this…” — I would trust that. I’ll be bringing mestanas back from Peru through April 5.

P.P.S. I "heard" two of you today... and found the most beautiful cloths... they are already tucked in my bag ...

Dear Reader,I’ve been thinking about our Ignite Your Mesa circle we Do you remember how good it felt to be together in Sacred Space? Even across the screen, there was so much joy in that space — everyone reconnecting with their mesas, hearing the stories, and feeling the medicine begin to move again as people opened their bundles and laid out their stones out on the cloth. It reminded me how powerful this path is, and how alive the mesa becomes the moment we start practicing again. And at the...

You, Reader, are warmly invited to gather your Mesa for the 7th and final Global Mesa Carrier Gathering this Spring Equinox — March 19–22 at Menla Mountain House. This is our closing ceremony. Join Us at the Mesa Gathering In 2020, I put out the very first call for a Global Mesa Gathering. 40 people answered that call — you may have been one of them —and then lockdown turned our Equinox gathering into a virtual event. Since then, this sacred circle has traveled from the mountains to the sea....

mesa/misha is calling you

Dear Reader 2020 was the first year we put out a call for a Global Mesa Gathering - It was a call you answered - and that 1st annual Equinox Gathering became even more potent at the time because, as Spirit would have it, it was the first weekend of “lockdown” — we gathered strong. We journeyed and collaborated in ceremony. We have lived much, learned more, and held the sacred together and in our worlds for these intervening years. The pivot of the planned inPerson event birthed SacredCircle...
